Schelenborg is located between Dalby and Martofte on Hindsholm. It was formerly named Eskebjerg and was owned during the Middle Ages by Marsk Stig, who is reportedly buried in nearby Stubberup Church.
The estate got its present name when it was purchased in 1671 by Herr von Vittinghof Scheel, along with all 4 Hindsholm churches. Schelenborg has since been owned by the Iuel-Reventlow family, but was purchased in 1982 by Kjeld Kirk Kristiansen (owner of LEGO). The manor house dates from 1843.
