Distance to Centrum: 0,2 – 2 kilometres.

Driving directions from Kerteminde Turistbureau:

Follow Hans Schacksvej towards the harbour and turn left at the traffic light onto Hindsholmvej. Continue at Hindsholmvej until you reach the parking place on your right hand.
Nordstranden is the most popular beach in Kerteminde. People from far and near flock to the beach to enjoy the fresh seawater from Storebælt. The beach is primary sand, while the beach further up towards the Hindsholmvej, with the beautiful villas, the vegetation is grass and beach rush.

Nordstranden is a distinct sand beach with many sandbanks. It means, that it is possible to get far from the shore before it gets really deep. Of the same reason the beach is very child friendly.

Nordstranden has the Blue Flag Programme 

About midway on the beach there is placed a parking place and a kiosk with the possibility of buying various refreshments. At the south part of the beach there is a minigolf course. Furthermore there is a bathing jetty, beach volley- and handball pitch’s and of course toilets.

Moreover in the peak season there are lifeguards from the Tryg Foundation.



Sydstranden

Distance to Centrum: about 500 metres. Therefore you have the opportunity to walk up to the city and enjoy some of the many possibilities Kerteminde has to offer.

Driving directions from Kerteminde Turistbureau:

Follow Hans Schacksvej towards the harbour and turn right by the traffic lights and follow Hindsholmvej. At the next traffic light turn left and cross the bridge and turn left again at the first road, named Dosseringen. Follow the road to Sydstranden.
It is a little bit less known compare to the Nordstranden in Kerteminde. Sydstranden (The South Beach), as the name implies, the beach is in the south part of the city. The beach is, just as the Nordstranden, a lovely sandy beach, however its get faster deep at this beach. The north part of the beach, is accepted to be used and is used as a naturist beach.

Like Nordstranden, Sydstranden has a Blue Flag Programme.

Parking in the area is possible. Including a small parking place.



Bøgebjerg Strand

Distance to Centrum: 9,5 kilometres.
Driving directions from Kerteminde Turistbureau:

Follow Hans Schacksvej towards the harbour, and turn left onto Hindsholmvej at the traffic lights. Continue on Hindsholmvej and all the summer-houses. When Hindsholmvej turns sharp to the left continue straight ahead (Keep right) onto Hverringevej. Follow Hverringevej about 2 kilometres and turn left onto Maimosevej and follow the road about 1 kilometre. Continue straight away by Viby Bygade and turn right onto Måle Bakkevej. After about 400 metres turn left onto Blæsenborgvej and follow the road to the shore.
Bøgebjerg Strand is placed on the eastern side of Hindsholm, direct out to Storebælt and with a view to the little island Romsø. The vegetation on the bottom of the sea is very variable.

Which is the reason that it is possible to, through Bøgebjerg Strand Camping on telephone +45 65341052, to enrol snorkel diving. Among other things you can see a wreck of a ship.

With the nearby location of the camping site you can enjoy the various offers from the kiosk.

Fyns Hoved

Distance to Kerteminde: 21 kilometres

Driving directions from Kerteminde Turistbureau:

Follow Hans Schacksvej towards the harbour, and turn left onto Hindsholmvej at the traffic lights. Continue on Hindsholmvej and all the summer-houses. Follow Hindsholmvej, route 315, all the way to Mesinge. Keep right onto Fynshovedvej and follow Fynshovedvej to Fyns Hoved.
Fyns Hoved is the top of the peninsula Hindsholm and top of the island Fyn. With water on both sides, many compare Fyns Hoved with Skagen. Furthermore it rains 25 % less on Fyns Hoved compared to the average rainfall in Denmark.

On Fyns Hoved it is possible to bathe on the eastside in Storebælt or on the westside in Korshavn.

Korshavnen is very recommendable to families with children. The water is very still and the bottom of the sea is primary with sand and very low. Furthermore the beach is located close to the Fyns Hoved Camping site.

Storebælt is, with the open sea, a bit more wild/fun to take a swim in. It’s get faster deep, which gives the possibilities for bigger waves. The bottom of the sea is varying.



Måle Strand

Distance to Kerteminde: 7,5 kilometres
Driving directions from Kerteminde Turistbureau:

Follow Hans Schacksvej towards the harbour, and turn left onto Hindsholmvej at the traffic lights. Continue on Hindsholmvej and all the summerhouses. When Hindsholmvej turns sharp to the left continue straight ahead (Keep right) onto Hverringevej. Follow the road to Måle. In Måle turn right onto Stensgårds Stænge, a sign point towards Måle Strand. Turn left onto Lykkegårdsvej. In a little forest the roads divides up in 2, keep right. Parking at a little grass-parking place. The rest of the way you have to walk on a little path.
Måle Strand is mostly known by the locals. On the beach there are many areas with grass and bushes.

The beach is primary with sand and with low water depth, which makes it very children friendly. If you swim further out into the sea, on 1,5 – 2,5 metres depth the sandy bottom is with high seaweed bushes, fish fry and smaller flatfish. So the beach is suitable for snorkelling.

A smaller grass-parking place is located about 200 metres from the beach.
