Idyllic Villages
As well north as south of Kerteminde - like a row of pearls - you can find small, idyllic and in particular wellpreserved villages wit their own specific charachteristics.
Among these Måle and Viby at the peninsula Hindsholm can be mentioned, where you by bike can experience the village environment at closest hand. In Måle you find a very active artist scene and in Viby the mill and church are worth an extra visit.
South of Kerteminde you find Kølstrup, which is amazingly situated by Kertinge Cove and close to Ulriksholm Castle.
If you drive further south you will enter Birkende, where the famous Hans Tausen - known as "the Danish Luther" - was born, Rønninge as a true pearl and Marslev, where the history has left its traces, which can be traced back to the Iron Age.
